Sound familiar?
There are plenty of courses, software names and job titles, and they all sound alike. Tutorials only take you so far, and a certificate on its own does not open studio doors. What helps is a clear path, guided practice on real projects and people who can answer your questions.
Every course promises a career. You need to know which skills lead to the role you actually want.
Studios look at your portfolio first. You need guided, hands on projects that give you something to show.
Batches, duration and fees all matter. A counsellor can match them to where you are today.

These are our short term courses in Pune, each focused on one tool or skill so you can start fast. Once you know what you enjoy, you can move on to a longer programme.
A short term course is built to give you a fast, practical start. In 3 to 6 months you learn the basics of the tools, finish projects, get feedback from a mentor and see whether you enjoy the work enough to go further. It will not make you an expert overnight, but it can open the door to entry level and freelance work, and it helps you choose the right full programme if you decide to continue.
Understand the field and the tools before you invest in a longer programme.
Work on guided projects, so you finish with something to show and not just notes.
Get told what to fix and how, so each version of your work improves.
Move on to a full programme later, or use what you learned for freelance and entry level work.
Choose a short term course if you are new to the field, want to test your interest, need a quick skill for your current job, or have limited time. Choose a full programme of 12 to 24 months if you want to build a complete portfolio and aim for a specialised studio role such as animator, VFX artist or game artist. Many students start short and move on to a full programme later. A counsellor can help you decide in a short conversation.
Possible career paths
A short course will not make you an expert overnight, but it can open the door to entry level and freelance work like these. Studios name roles differently, so use this as a guide.
Placed and hired by studios
Arena Animation has long stood behind its students’ careers. Every student who completes a programme gets help moving into a creative career, from portfolio building to interview preparation.
Trusted by the best
Our graduates have gone on to work with studios, agencies, production houses and media companies across India.
These are the students whose work our mentors are proudest of. Each card shows the student, the role they trained for and the project they built.
Each placement began as a portfolio built during the course. Here are some of our most recent.
What our students say
For most beginners, a short term course in one tool is the safest start, because it lets you try design work in 3 to 6 months before you commit to a long programme. If you like posters and logos, look at Master in Photoshop or Master in Illustrator. If your goal is content for brands and social media, Digital Content Creation is a good fit. If you want to build interactive scenes or games, look at Master in Unreal Engine. A counsellor can match the course to your goal in a short conversation.
Yes. Master in Photoshop, Master in Illustrator and Master in InDesign are short term courses in the main graphic design tools, and Digital Content Creation runs 3 to 6 months. For a fuller path, our Next-Gen Graphic and Visual Design programme runs 6 months and Next-Gen Visual Design and Motion Graphics runs 9 months. Because each course has a different scope, ask our counsellor which one covers the graphic design topics and tools you want to learn, so you pick the right one before you enrol.
Yes. Master in 2D Animation, Master in Blender, Master in Maya and Master in After Effects are short term courses that introduce animation. Our full animation programmes run longer, up to 24 months for the Advanced Program in Animation with Unreal Engine. This way you can try the field before you commit to a longer programme.
You can learn the basics in 3 months, such as the tools, how to complete a small project and how to take feedback. Becoming job ready usually takes longer, because you need time to practise and build a portfolio. A short course is a strong start, not the finish line.
It can help you get entry level or freelance work if you build good projects, but no institute can honestly promise a job. Employers hire on the quality of your portfolio and your interview. We support you with portfolio workshops, mock interviews and introductions through our placement cell, and your work decides the result.
The fee depends on the programme and its duration. Our team shares the exact fee and what it includes during counselling, along with EMI options and education loan support. Ask for the complete fee and batch timings before you decide on any institute.
Many short course students are in college or working, because 3 to 6 months is easier to fit into a busy schedule. Batch timings change, so ask the counsellor for the current options, and share your schedule so they can suggest a batch that fits.
Choose a short term course to test your interest, learn a quick skill or work around a tight schedule. Choose a full programme of 12 to 24 months if you want a complete portfolio and a specialised studio role. Many students start with a short course and move on later.
No experience is needed, and you can begin as a complete beginner. You can use the systems at our centre while you learn, and your mentors can suggest what to buy later if you want to practise at home. Share your background with a counsellor so they can recommend the right starting point.
Many people start freelancing after a short course, especially in design, video and content work. What wins clients is a portfolio of finished projects, so use your course projects to build one. Expect to keep learning and practising as you take on real client work.
Check four things. Look at real student work, not only ads. Ask who reviews your projects and how often. Find out what the placement support includes. Visit the centre and talk to current students. You can do all four at Arena Animation FC Road in a free counselling session.
Ask the counsellor what certificate you receive for the course you choose and what it covers. Many students continue to a full programme after a short course, so you can use the short course as a first step. A counsellor can explain how the two connect.
