Sound familiar?
There are plenty of courses, software names and job titles, and they all sound alike. Tutorials only take you so far, and a certificate on its own does not open studio doors. What helps is a clear path, guided practice on real projects and people who can answer your questions.

If you are looking for a graphic design course in Pune, start with the Graphic & Web Design card. The other cards are neighbouring paths in UI/UX, motion, animation and content that many design students add later.
A good visual design course in Pune should teach you how to think like a designer, and not only how to use software. At Arena Animation FC Road you learn the principles first and practise them on projects, so your work looks considered and not copied.
Choose and combine type so text is clear, readable and has character.
Use colour, space and balance to guide the eye and set the mood.
Build a brand look that works across a logo, packaging, print and screens.
Design posters, brochures and layouts that are ready for print.
Create visuals for posts, ads and campaigns that fit each platform.
Edit and clean up images using tools such as Photoshop.
Design web pages that look good and work on different screens.
Pull your best work into a portfolio that studios and agencies can review.
Graphic design is about communication through visuals, such as logos, posters, packaging and social media. UI/UX design is about how an app or a website works and feels for the person using it. If you love branding, layout and visual storytelling, start with graphic design. If you like solving problems for users and designing screens, look at UI/UX. They share a lot of basics, so many designers learn both over time. A counsellor can help you decide in a short conversation.
Possible career paths
Typical roles people move into after training in Graphic & Visual Design. Studios name them differently, so treat this as a guide to the kind of work you can aim for.
Placed and hired by studios
Arena Animation has long stood behind its students’ careers. Every student who completes a programme gets help moving into a creative career, from portfolio building to interview preparation.
Trusted by the best
Our graduates have gone on to work with design studios, agencies, publishing houses and media companies across India.
These are the students whose work our mentors are proudest of. Each card shows the student, the role they trained for and the project they built.
Each placement began as a portfolio built during the course. Here are some of our most recent.
What our Graphic & Visual Design students say
You will learn typography, colour, composition, branding, layout, print and social media design, photo editing and web design basics. The course is project based, so you build real pieces of work and finish with a portfolio. Mentors review each project, so you know what to fix and how.
Check four things. Look at real student work, not only ads. Ask who reviews your projects and how often. Find out what placement support really includes, for example portfolio workshops and mock interviews. Visit the centre and talk to current students. You can do all four at Arena Animation FC Road in a free counselling session.
The fee depends on the programme and its duration, since a 3 to 6 month course and a 9 month programme cost very differently. Our team shares the exact fee and what it includes during counselling, along with EMI options and education loan support. Ask for the complete fee and batch timings before you decide on any institute.
Our Next-Gen Graphic and Visual Design programme runs 6 months, and Next-Gen Visual Design and Motion Graphics runs 9 months. Shorter options such as short term workshops and Digital Content Creation run 3 to 6 months. A counsellor will help you pick the length that fits your goal and your schedule.
Yes. Many students join after 12th, and graduates and working professionals join too. Eligibility differs by programme, so share your qualification with a counsellor and they will tell you which one you can join.
No. Drawing helps, but graphic design is mostly about layout, type, colour and ideas. You can build these skills step by step. If you want to focus on illustration, tell your counsellor and they will guide you.
The two overlap a lot. Graphic design usually covers branding, print, packaging and social media. Visual design often refers to the look and feel of digital products, such as apps and websites. At Arena, our Graphic & Visual Design programmes cover both, and our counsellors will explain which one fits the role you want.
Choose graphic design if you love branding, layout and visual storytelling. Choose UI/UX if you want to design apps and websites around how people use them. Many designers learn both over time. If you are unsure, a short conversation with a counsellor will help.
Not on day one. You can begin on the systems at our centre and see how the work feels before you spend money on hardware. When you are ready to practise at home, your mentors can suggest what suits the software you are using.
Typical roles include graphic designer, brand identity designer, illustrator, packaging designer, visual designer, art director, print and layout designer, social media designer and photo retoucher. Studios and agencies use different job titles, so look at what the work involves and match it to the skills you built.
No institute can honestly promise a job, because employers hire on the quality of your portfolio and your interview. What we do is run portfolio workshops, mock interviews and introductions to studios through our placement cell. Your effort and the quality of your work decide the result.
Yes, many designers freelance, and a strong portfolio is what wins clients. Canva is a handy tool, but employers and clients look for design thinking, typography, branding and layout skills, and those carry across any software you use later. A course gives you the principles, feedback and portfolio that a tool alone does not.
